We had a very enjoyable two-week stay at the Gillespie House. Although it was a shared accommodation, we felt very comfortable from the start. By carefully selecting the tenant by the landlord, there were no complications locally and our initial concerns about renting a room in a shared accommodation were unnecessary. The accommodation is very spacious (huge and open kitchen with dining area and large living room) and equipped with everything necessary. The room itself has a very comfortable queen size bed (about 1.60 m) and a spacious fitted wardrobe. In addition, there is in each bedroom and the living room a TV with Apple TV. We shared the bathroom with 2 other guests who stayed at the “Turquoise Room”, but that wasn’t a problem. The bathroom is sufficiently large, clean and there is free shampoo, shower gel and towels. Since we were the first guests in Gillespie property, the landlord was grateful for suggestions and requests for equipment (eg kitchen) and sets out our proposals to you. Parking is free and plentiful. From the South Side terrace, you have a beautiful view of El Cajon. The property is located in a safe and quiet area of the town. The beach runs about 25 minutes and in the surrounding, there are shopping opportunities available. However, you definitely need a car. We can only recommend the Gillespie House!
